FAQs
Can you help my son/daughter obtain eligibility for OPWDD services?
Staff will work with the family in gathering required documents to establish eligibility.
What are some of the steps in obtaining eligibility through OPWDD?
Staff can assist families through the Front Door process, and attend meetings as needed with the individual towards the goal of obtaining eligibility. Families will be supported throughout the process so that they have necessary information, and a full understanding of the steps involved. If eligible, the individual will be transitioned into the OPWDD service system. Information regarding Care Coordination Organizations (CCO’s) is provided to families to make an informed decision.
Can I still receive Educational Advocacy while waiting for determination of eligibility for OPWDD services?
Staff can continue to provide Educational Advocacy services during the process of establishing eligibility.
