LIFE at RCIL’s Youth Services supports children and adolescents with disabilities in reaching their full potential. From educational advocacy to summer adventures, we’re here to help build a brighter, independent future the next generation.
Overview
At LIFE at RCIL, we understand the unique challenges faced by children and adolescents with disabilities. Youth Services provides personalized support and resources tailored to each family’s needs, which foster growth, independence, and community engagement. Through academic scholarships, adventure programs, and educational advocacy, we’re committed to helping young individuals thrive at home, in school, and beyond.
- Academic Scholarship provides financial assistance for hiring certified tutors or teachers.
- Adventure Challenge provides educational and recreational adventures for students.
- Educational Advocacy develops effective special education plans with families and schools.
- Main Street Program assists at-risk youth with developmental disabilities in Oneida, Herkimer, and Madison Counties who want to get back on the right track.
- Self-Direction promotes independence for individuals with developmental disabilities by allowing them to manage their own supports, services, and staff.
