Youth Services provide personalized support and resources tailored to each family’s needs, which foster growth, independence, and community engagement. Where can I find reimbursement for tutoring services for my OPWDD eligible child?
With LIFE at RCIL’s Academic Scholarship program, you can be reimbursed for up to $2000 for a qualified tutor to help your OPWDD eligible child.
Is there a program to help me navigate the complexities of special education law, programming, and services for my child?
With LIFE at RCIL’s Educational Advocacy program, knowledgeable and qualified advocates can help foster better communication with the school, and help you interpret special education documents such as the IEP and psychological reports, to find the best educational options for your child.
Is there a program that can help me financially to provide goods and services for my OPWDD eligible child?
LIFE at RCIL’s Family Reimbursement program provides funding for certain goods and services to families of OPWDD eligible individuals who live at home in Oneida and Herkimer counties.
Can I get help with my rent, security deposit, or household items?
LIFE at RCIL’s Individual Support Services provides OPWDD eligible individuals a rental subsidy which can include ongoing rent subsidy and transition stipends (household items and security deposits). The maximum amount for transition stipends is $3,000. (Oneida & Herkimer Counties).
Is there a program that can help with managing my at-risk child?
LIFE at RCIL’s Mainstreet Program provides services to OPWDD eligible youth, up to age 22, who are at-risk of involvement in the juvenile system, homelessness, or in need of support for disruptive behaviors. (Oneida, Herkimer and Madison Counties).
Where can I go if I need assistance with OPWDD eligibility?
LIFE at RCIL’s OPWDD Eligibility & Application Assistance program helps with the OPWDD Eligibility Process, supporting families throughout the entire process, ensuring that they have all necessary information, and a full understanding of the steps involved, including the development and submission of an eligibility packet. (Oneida & Herkimer Counties).
