ALBANY, N.Y. – The New York State Department of Health recognizes today, March 4, as International Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Awareness Day and stresses the importance of screenings and getting vaccinated for HPV. International HPV Awareness Day was established to help spread awareness about HPV and educate people about the importance of vaccination and other preventive measures.
